What is a Reformed Church?

A Reformed church is a Christian church that professes the Catholic faith of the Apostles, who passed on to us the revelation of God in Jesus Christ. Founded on the authority of the Bible and rooted in history, the Reformed Church is committed in the present to proclaim the message of forgiveness of sins and the hope we have by divine grace alone, through faith alone in Jesus Christ.

The Reformed Church exists to call sinners, in their miserable condition before God the Father, to the only comfort in life and death in the redemption of the Son, to live with gratitude by virtue of the work of the Holy Spirit.

A Christian Church

We are a communion of Christian churches professing the Catholic faith that unites the great Confessions of Christianity.

We profess the Trinitarian Christian faith revealed in Sacred Scripture and admirably expressed in the ecumenical creeds: the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed, the Athanasian Creed and the Creed of Chalcedon.

Rooted in History

We are heirs to the tradition of the churches of the Protestant Reformation and, even before that, of ancient and medieval Christianity.

We adopt with conviction the confessions of faith formulated in the 16th and 17th centuries so that our preaching is always Christocentric and our congregations are not tossed about and carried about by every wind of doctrine. (Eph. 4:14)

Chiesa

Committed to the Present

Our mission is to proclaim the glad tidings of forgiveness from sins in Christ Jesus and eternal salvation not by our works, but by divine grace alone.

«And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us.» (I John 3:23)

Come Visit Us

The word church derives from the Greek ekklésia, meaning ‘gathering of those who are called’. It is in the physical presence, together with others, that the most authentic Trinitarian dimension of the Christian church is expressed.

While it is true that the Internet is an extraordinary tool for learning and deepening one’s knowledge, it is also true that it is in personal contact that one can have the fullest experience of real Christian fellowship.

That is why we invite you to visit us in person in our churches!
